Vegas Peeps - I'm fixing to make the switch from a Pro Comp 3" coil over lift to an Icon Stage 3 or 4.

    Two Questions:
    1. Any one have any experience with installing a kit like this DIY? If so, is it worth giving it a try on my own?
    2. Any recommendations for a quality shop to do the install?
On a separate note, I'm looking for someone capable of helping me with some electronics related items- mostly related to winch and lights.

    Peace Beaches!

Have you tried Nevada Shooters? It's a wider market for selling them.

Hello! Just purchased a '15 DCSB 4WD w/ OR package. Just wondering if it's common for a new rig to shake at highway speed starting at 50+? I did a search and know that it's a common issue now, but with a brand new truck with 2miles when purchased...seems odd. Could it be anything beyond the wheels needing to be balanced?

Bought the same truck and it shakes a little as well. The steering wheel used to shake all the time at 60-65 but almost all the way gone after they road forced the tires. It will do it every now and then still though. Feels like shit tires to me.

I've had no problems with centennial Toyota, although I go through the service manager

Not sure if 2015's are susceptible to the driveline/driveshaft issues of earlier 2nd gens. Whatever it is, I'd be heading to the dealer ASAP to address the shake. Do not let yourself be fooled or bullied into spending your money and getting stuck with a lifelong problem. Hopefully it's just in need of a balance job...whatever the case make the dealer/Toyota fix it!

At any rate, congrats on your new ride! Hope you get it squared away quickly.

Depending on how long it sat on the lot, the tires could have flat spots,I would be taking it back to the dealership and letting them fix it

Happy with the dealer in Henderson. Take the LEFT exit off car dealer road on 95 South and talk to them. Prolly wheels, ask for all 4 wheels dynamic balancing no less. They did my S/C, and doing first 3 year oil changes. Take a tech on a drive Once you leave the dealership, turn left. Turn right Turn right. There is a road you can easily hit 60 that goes South towards B City. It's where I tested my Supercharger install. WooHoo!

Look it up on Google maps. Tech should know it well. If he don't he's an oil changing monkey. Get another.

Any reason you don't like it there? That's where I've taken my 13taco and 15corolla since I moved here 2 and a half months ago and the service has always been really excellent.
The only other dealership that I've been to out here is the one off of Sahara and I didn't like that place at all. Tried to go in for an oil change and I sat in my car in the service line for about 10mins without anyone even looking in my direction or acknowledging that I was there. That annoyed the hell out of me, so I left and went to Centennial, they're closer to my house anyways.

They're about that distance for me too, all I ever let them do are the recalls, I usualy do my own repairs, or get help from the offroad club I'm in

Damn. That's pretty stupid that they didn't catch the small shit when you first bought it. You'd think they'd catch that stuff during the CPO process.

I hate to admit this, but I had to trade in my 2006 Tacoma in this week. It was getting old, and I needed something with a V-8 so...I upgraded to a D-Cab Tundra and a 5.7. This means I have the following item for free to a good home. I don't have pics for them, but they are self explanatory.
Front diff for a 4WD Taco
    Both front halfshafts for same
Front bumper and the painted bumper cover off my truck, in Speedway Blue
    Blower motor for a Tacoma
12 or so lug nuts for the factory TRD sport wheels.
I will post more items, as I find them in the garage.

You guys have a week, then I put them on Craigslist, and they are gone forever.

I also have a Famous Fabrication roof rack, but it isn't free, it is $300, it is painted gloss black, and uses the factory mount locations. I took it off before I traded in my truck. The dealer got my truck with the factory roof rack in the bed, in pieces. Like everything Famous builds, it is stupid strong, and has tabs for 4 lights across the front.

That sucks. Sorry you're having so much trouble. I've used DW for service 2 times under extended warranty and had no problems at all with the service dept.
Continue to give them hell. Good luck.

Mine got balanced twice at discount tire. Dealer put in a rear drive shaft, dealer rotate and balance, road force balance the tires. Shit is annoying that it still has a little vibration going. The vibration at 50-60 feels like a tire out of round sort of like a little up/down vibration in the seat. Every now and then at 60-65 the steering wheel vibrates slightly. When I first got the truck it was a constant vibration in the wheel. I haven't pushed it much recently because I just don't have the time to be going back and forth to the dealer. They won't cover a rental unless they find an issue. I can rent a car at enterprise for $25 a day and the dealer wants $46 a day. I opened a case with toyota corporate but haven't been back to dealer yet. It's ridiculous that a truck with 2k miles has this issue from day one and still does a little.
I have seen this thread about the east coast gear supply bushing for front diff and what people describe in there is similar to what I have. If it comes to it I will replace the bearing myself. My half shaft does have a bit of play in it but so did another new one on the lot.

If someone needs it, I still have the puller I got from East Coast Gear and the tools to put the bushing in the front diff. Donno D did mine at his shop (Firestone) at Ann and Decatur. You guys can borrow it, if you need it. No sense in paying a fortune for it if I have one sitting in a drawer in the garage.
The front diff bearing starts a vibe at 20, 40, and 60 MPH. Donno swapped mine out, and that vibe went away for the most part. I also had a tire out of round that vibed at 60.

Did it make the steering wheel shake slightly?

Might have to borrow it if it comes to that
