las vegas trails

just moved here. looking for some fun easy trails that i dont have to drive out of town for an hour or two...something that i can just go out for a couple hours to just mess around and not a whole day thing...

 

Off Road races are run in Henderson and Primm... so that isn't too far from the Strip, right?

 

You may want to jump on the Vegas BS thread. All trails have to be driven to. BLM has closed all adjoining deserts.

 

Not true... They have closed down many areas around vegas, but the BLM is doing their best to meet the interests of both off road enthusiasts and conservationists, of which, I am both. Check out the Bitter Springs trail just north of Moapa, google earth layers are available online here: (http://www.offroadinghome.com/nevada/nevada.htm). 4-5 hour run and beautiful terrain. This area is about to be closed down except for the main trail so check it out soon as there are many fun diversions!
