Hey guys I'm itching for a trail run! Cb yet to be tested. I finally got a sunday free so let's agree on a fun easy trail that we can all enjoy! My guess is something local like either pine valley or otay truck trail. Who's up for some fun this weekend

Of course I'm up to heading out to Ocotillo Wells. I'll go out the back way via S-22.

I wouldn't suggest going to the desert seeing as it's around 110F out there during the day and even with AC it's nice to get out once in a while and stretch. Better off doing a nigh run if you insist on going out there.

I have Sunday off. The desert doesn't sound very fun though...

The temp today at 12:35pm is 97. This new generation is way too soft. I've started a 250 mile race out there when the temp was 112 at 6pm. I have no problem getting out there around 8am and bombing around for 3 or 4 hours then driving home. Stopping at Dudley's Bakery on the way back and having a nice slice of pie and a cold glass of milk.

I just don't like desert trails. The heat doesn't really bother me. I hate it, but I can deal with it. I'd still gladly go to the desert with TW people though. :D

It's really too far just to watch. Going to a race and not participating is like going to a party and watching your girlfriend fuck someone else.

The trails at Ocotillo Wells are as long as you want them to be. As far as the bald tires, not too much of a problem, as there really aren't any hills you need
to navigate. Plenty of fun stuff that's flat and twisty. Just running San Felipe Wash is fun in itself.
