    Oh man this sucks.

I saw the picture on the news of the rolled over race truck and a tacoma in the background, and I immediately thought of the group out there. In one of the pictures from ABC7 you can clearly see a tacoma with HID's and yellow fogs on pulled up right behind the race truck.

Engage Off Road would like to send out our prayers and thoughts to all of the Families and Friends of the people involved in last nights accident at the MDR California 200. We are all still shook up from the event that occurred, unforutunately this happened but we are very thank full that no one else was hurt. I (Hassim Owner of Engage) would like to personally thank everyone that helped, specially the medics and the people that helped the injured, we (the off road community) showed that in time of crisis we came together as a family to help out and overcome. What we all seen is very tragic, we ( Engage Off Road) Do Not blame Sloppy , MDR or the fans for the tragedy as this could have happened to us as we were scheduled to race as well. The Engage Off Road Team are all safe, we have received a lot of inquiries as to what took place, we apologize for not answering text’s, phone calls, emails and pm’s yesterday during and after the event. I offer my assistance to anyone and everyone that has been affected by this tragic event. Hassim Mendez, Owner Engage Off Road. 909-238-6788

It happened right in the Toyota group camp. That's why I was there. We were just talking about how many Tacos were there. I can't seem to stop thinking about it.

Channel 7 seems to have the most coverage.

I don't know anyone that didn't cry after seeing that. I looked all over for you out there beforehand. Toyota definitely ruled the desert.

    Yeah....no kidding.

I just hope they wont try to pass a law, that will outlaw desert racing here in CA.
It's sad what happened, but there is no need to stop racing events from happening, but I'm fine if they try to enforce more safety rules.

Guys, I just saw the official News Report again this morning on Channel 7. The media is exploiting this crash and portraying this accident to the public in such a Negative manner.

They stated one of the victims (R.I.P) a father of 2 pushed his kids & his friends kid out of the way of the truck. Inches away from them and in result, killing him. Saving them. Hearing that and watching his friend being interviewed for that story is tough to hear.

It could've been anyone we knew who went to enjoy the sport. I know I did plenty to try to attend this race and many of us did too. I keep thinking and replaying this situation. I couldn't imagine how I'd feel if I was there with you guys. Hitching a ride w/Andre or Aaron. . .I saw the footage and its so dam close to the TW/CT/TTORA camp.

    R.I.P

Is a tragic accident, and people want to find someone to blame. I was reading the driver had to run because people were throwing rocks at him and beating him. That is F***** up, hes already feeling terrible for what happened. No respect. People these days don't even know what that word means anymore.

prayers go out to the families of those killed and injured, and to the driver.
