Yeah I'm impatient but after buying lift funds are low so can't be too impatient just trying to save some money. If anybody can help especially 4wd I would appreciate it. And I can wait don't really have too much of a choice

On another note, took a trail up to Laguna, the 14S05 forestry gate was open :)yay:) it starts from Pine Creek & ends on Sunrise hwy. close to the Kumeyyaaii look out over the desert, about 8.5 miles of dirt. Started raining & lightening like hell on top so I bailed before I got hit by lightening (again )... very senic, very cool....;) I'll get a couple pics up in a bit...

Doug when youre ready for tires, i have a friend who is a manager at Evans tires. i may get some tires for u at cost. No promises though on cost but definitely a discount.

He told me he could get me General Grabbers at his cost which is awesome but i am not quite ready yet.

New to Tacomaworld and Tacoma's and from Santee.
Got a 2000 ext cab 4x4 with a lift (king coils in front, deaver/bilstein in the rear) and more to come. Just added a stereo and CB.

Tested it out this weekend at Coral Canyon area after a drive through Julian. A locker would have been nice in a few spots ;)

    Couple poser shots attached!

About me: I'm a diehard duner and enjoy the dunes during the winter in a 2-seat buggy.

    My web sites:
    sandbros.com
    mikesoffroadrepair.com

Lots of good info here and looks like good folks ;)

csjumper-I may be able to help.

Hi Mike & welcome to TW ( I think we've done this before) unless it was another newb from Santee , damn thats a clean 2000 ! I remember when mine looked like that, I've done Corral canyon (CC for short) many times, i did about 98% of Bronco Peak (single black diamond) the last 2% requires sliders as to avoid rocker damage (kinda too late for me) I'd love to hit it again with another 1st gen 4x. You into sandrails huh ? Nice !! 2 of my oldest friends own The Buggy Works off of Woodside, I've known Tom & Dave Forbis for about 35 years (these 2 guys WERE Johnson's Bug Machine in Santee)

    That's me from Santee.

We drove through 4 corners onto the dirt road/trail and after finding a few locked gates (I really don't get this) we found our way back to 4 corners by the tower.

BTW: My Taco looks clean from 20 ft away. Has plenty of scratches and dings. Nothing major yet. I have cleaned the shit out of it since I got it. Was nasty and had a 'notso pleasant' smell inside.

Yeah theres a couple locked gates , they're usually back entrances (or exits during fire) for private ranches, but theres plenty of rated trails within the canyon itself, heres an old vid of Bronco Peak..

    Disregard the babble from spotters...
