I've seen threads where people talk about it, as if they have it, but not how they did it.

its just the shocks, I'd be using everything else off my tacoma

this is all first gen stuff, by the way

Maybe it does then I might have a set of both to compare but the Tacoma uses a 3 bolt hat and the Tundra a 4 bolt they look similar other than that I will look and see if I have some to compare. I've never tried to swap between the two.

not at home anymore but i had a comparison picture. struts are the same other than the bottom mounting thing (whos name i cant think of right now) being bigger and therefore stronger on the tundra

Nope, he'll swap it out for you. Just tell them to take note of it.

So I installed a lift on a 4x4 Tacoma this morning and did the Bilstein 6112 front and the 5160 rear setup certainly a lot more beefy than the 5100 series suspension, been doing quite a few of these suspension upgrades lately.

It comes with the collar/snap ring type configuration with 5 settings starting at .60" average lift so that setting comes close to leveling the truck out the next setting would almost make it nose high.

I'll try and get some pics (forgot to take the while I was working lol)

Hey guys, what's up? I'm new to the Tacoma world as I just acquired my first truck. I have already taken note of James up at the Truck Shop and I believe I will use him to check my tranny fluid just to make sure everything is good coming from the factory.

I was a car guy before all of this, so a lot of it is new to me. Stationed down here in the SD area, so I am excited to get out and about.

    Welcome.

Why did you bring up the trans fluid level needing to be checked? Is your trans doing weird things or something?
