lies, you can use rustoleum with a paint roller and get a better finish than he has... its all about prep work and wetsanding. his finish is fine except for the little granules of paint and dust... which guess how they get removed... WETSANDING

No matter what you do using a rattle can or a paint roller ( never heard that before) you are not going to get anywhere near the results you would using a spray gun

This^ I wasnt calling you out I'm just saying body shops use spray guns because it is the best way to paint with the best results. That Pic looks good but I bet there was way more prep and sanding done then there would have been if he used a spray gun instead of a roller

    .....

thats not my point... my point is you can make paint look significantly better, given that there is enough of it to work with. with the right regimen of wetsanding and polish, you can take a surface painted with a foam roller (which is much more uneven than one painted with duplicolor spraypaint), and make it like that. Hence my disagreement with the statement that "spraypaint can only look so good", etc etc. Obviously theres a reason HPLV sprayers should be used, and are used, but theres also a reason that body shops sand the shit out of everything before and after spraying. HPLV isn't just a magic wand of paint, ever see a cheap maaco paintjob? Thats what's happens when you just paint and don't sand

Maybe utilize critical thinking to infer my intent based on my previous statement (discussing anthonys orangepeeled and gritty fenders) in reference to my more recent statement on wetsanding and polishing.

NOW I WILL LEAD THE REVOLUTION OF BODYSHOPS TO RID THE EARTH OF HPLV SYSTEMS AND REPLACE THEM WITH FOAM ROLLERS MUAHAHAHAHAHA

Its with rustoleum you buy by the gallon... then roll on with a foam roller haha. check the link, theres a lot of sanding and polishing but the results are real. definitely a huge bitch compared to spraying it but significantly cheaper for suuure

    Do it right?
isn't your whole fucking truck spray painted dude?
I mean yes im going to use Dupli color fill primer, Lots of wetsanding, and Lots of clear. Is it going to look perfect? No.
Is it going to look acceptable for an offroad truck? yes.
