So today was my second time ever welding and it wasn't too bad. I welded my fiberglass supports to my frame, I was missing one on both sides. The weld is ugly and bubbly but it should do the job. I used my brothers Electric Lincoln 100 HD to get the job done. Next project is straps for the front. ymaha6ub_70cc6ea41c5cef989a8221f91879e034a44f797b.jpg

No clue I don't go to the cc but prolly like 40 bucks or so.

I want to as well. It would be dope to take the mechanic classes and what not.

set a go pro up in the rear if you have one, else have a lady friend drive the truck and see if you can pin point it walking next to it. It sounds like you may have your pads sticking or one of the adjusters is out of wack on the rear. Also check your ujoints.... hate having to go down a check list to figure out a clunk.

Just an FYI- due to increasing fire danger in our area, the FS is closing down the Glass Factory and prohibiting target shooting in the LPF starting 1/10/14. I was up there today and the gate was open but what I'm reading on the internet, and what I've heard from a firefighter friend, they are closing it down until further notice. So pray for rain, and don't waste you time driving up there if you want to shoot.

    ...too much shit to list.
Mother of god! Did you mig it or fluxcore?
Try stripping the paint off your weld surface first next time. And practice on scrap first.

SBCC doesn't offer welding classes that I know of, although some classes do incorporate welding (underwater fabrication, some art classes, etc).
Thats flux jberry, but yeah x2 on prepping the surfaces.

Last i checked (about a year ago) they offered an underwater class that emphasizes most on the welding and little on the underwater part. Ill have to check it out again i guess.

So the noise I'm hearing when braking is actually my brake pads moving in the calipers and like I said it only happens when I change directions and only the first time braking. There is so much play between the pin the holds the pads in place and the actual brake pads that they just slide back and forth.... Can't really think of any way to remedy this. Could it be that the little spring clip is just not strong enough anymore??? (there should only be 1 right?)

    Any thought?
