    I wish I knew. I ditched mine a few years back because I can't pick up new laser detector. They are way too fast now and such a narrow field of view it's easier just looking for cops now. By the time you pick them up you are already caught. I'm still a bit resentful against my last ticket.

    Yea. I know my gf uncle has a detector built in his M5 but I don't have $1,000 to buy that kind. I'm thinking $100-200 range.

    My TV is currently hung over my fireplace and I'm in the process of building an HTPC for downstairs. I'm thinking about adding power, Ethernet, and HDMI behind/near the TV and also run speaker wire for a receiver and 5.1/7.1.

    Might have to get that one. I drive max 65mph in my tacoma, but when i drive my girls 5.0 you cant help yourself but speed a little.

    not that I personally care but you know its illegal to put wood burning fireplaces In now. It would help a lot if you can post a pic of the open area above the fireplace so i dont miss guide you.
    minimum distance from the top of the fireplace is 4 inches to your wire, minimum distance from your vent or metal vent coming from the fireplace is 3 inches.

    I wasn't aware it's illegal. I had them do it when they were installing my chandelier over dining table and they didn't say anything. They just capped the gas line. Come to think of it, I've had them cap 3 gas lines in the last 3 places I've lived and no one said anything. They did mention that my AC unit couldn't block the side of the house so I moved that myself. Now I can actually take my trash cans out the side gate instead of going through the garage and fucking up my door trim.

    Would you recommend a certain type of wire? or protection. Just an FYI the wall isn't open and the house isn't under construction. Sorry, misunderstood before. I'm just brainstorming ideas and eventually want all wires hidden in my living room. I'm connected to a 20TB Plex library up north and want better quality so I plan on hard wiring Ethernet instead of streaming.

    EDIT: Sorry if my "gas converted to wood" isn't the right verbage.

    Also, I hung my TV above the fireplace last year and remembered brick was about 2" from drywall.
