Angeles Crest Hwy Reopens Tomorrow! (6/3/11)

The Crest is going to reopen from La Cañada to Wrightwood tomorrow after 10 am according to DOT.

 

cool this is a great drive especially during the hot summer months, nice place to cool off when the beach is packed

 

So I can prolly take this all the way from San Gabriel Valley to Palm dale?

 

Yes you can and it takes about the same time from the 210>5>14. Most of the time their is less ppl.

But if you break down you are kinda screwed because you get rare cell phone coverage. But overall it is very nice drive.

 

Yeah but once Angeles Forest hwy meets Angeles Crest it's closed and you gotta take Angeles Forest hwy to sunland and catch the 210. But since the Angeles Crest is supposed to open this weekend you can take that to La Canada and hop on the 210 there.

We should check if any of the trails up there are open like Lynx Gulch, Santa Clara divide, or Indian Canyon

 

You want to meet up beforehand and cruise together? The Crest entrance in La Cañada is only 5 minutes away from me.

Lynx Gulch is always fun. I'm going to cruise the Crest with a friend in a little bit. If it's open, I'm always down for a little trail run. We'll have to set something up.

Yeah, it's open. Didn't see if Lynx Gulch was open though.

 

Great motorcycle road. I'm glad it finally opened.
