First time stretching out the 4x4 legs

So I'm in Big Bear this weekend with the family and we wanted to check out Bluff lake and finally stretch out the 4x4 wheels. Sure was fun! Here's some pics..

I paid an arm and a leg... and the other leg and arm too.. It pretty much came with everything..

 

Yeah, I saw one at the local dealer the other day, just went to see it for fun, and I saw the window sticker was above 35 grand. I was like 'WTF?!' lol it completly shocked me. Navigation in the dash is so nice though. I went on a road trip over the summer and I rented a Venza from the local dealer for $40 a day, it had the in dash gps and I didn't get lossed once. In dash systems really are awesome. Congrats on your purchase, and good luck with everything.

 

Damn. I thought they were aftermarket rims, and was going to compliment you on them. heheheh They DO look good!

That mountain is my home town! Too bad I havent been there in a long time. How did the 18's feel off road? With the more wheel and less tire keeping the same ride height, did it feel rough or stiff while on the dirt roads? My worry is hitting a rock and jacking up the wheels because there isn't as much tire. It does look pretty good and it's nice to see home from 1500 miles away. Nice pics.

 

Ya know, they're growing on me too.. I'm surprised cause generally, I'm not a fan of chrome.. or.. "chrome clad" for that matter..

lol.. yea, I didn't think any of it warranted 4x4, but the only other place here in the OC for 4x4-ing is mall crawling.. and I didn't feel like destroying my transfer case.. I figured it was a good place to at least get the 4x4 engaged for the first time..

I love Big Bear, the in-laws just retired this year and are now living up there. So we'll be making a few more trips up there this year including for thanksgiving (right after I get back from Yosemite!!). Exciting times are to be had in my family!! Soon in about a week or so I'll be gettin the shell in and it's gonna be super awesome! I'll make sure I post pics.
