SD dealer recommendations Poway sucks

Looking for dealer recommendations in the SD area. I just walked away from a slimy experience at Poway Toyota. I want to avoid Frank due to the National City tax rate, so who had a good experience and where. Yelp seems to be hit and miss, and I don't want waste my time.

I have heard good things about the dealership in Escondido. I went through Toyota of Temecula Valley had great customer service plus they are 5 minutes from my house.

Toyota of El Cajon Rocks! Go in and ask for Salesman Paul and tell him Matt and chelsie with the red tacoma sent you and he will hook you up brother. The owners are Greg and Mike Kaminski and were born and raised right here in the east county and are very stand up guys!

 

I go to Kearny Mesa Toyota. Ask for Ron Watsek. I wont go anywhere else.

 

Toyota Carlsbad (Duff Joy in Fleet Sales) is where I have gotten 4 new Toyotas (3 Tacomas, 1 Corolla) the past 11 years... Fantastic, easy, all discounts incl. Costco are offered, no hassle. Tell Duff that I sent you!

I have had good experience with Toyota Carlsbad. Duff in Fleet sales is the person to talk too.

 

I hate Esco Toyota's service Dept.

 

They've always treated me good, so no complaints from me.


I went to Kearny Mesa once, they seemed pretty good as well.

 

had a great experience twice with toyota el cajon, first for the wife's camry and second for my tacoma.

 

Oh yeah. Good advice. I went there once to look at the new Scion tC with my girlfriend, and they started calling us like twice a day. Creepy.

 

I had a great experience through Toyaota of Carlsbad. Used the Costco discount program and worked with Alex in Fleet Sales. He was great.

 

I was going to get a new truck from poway because they are the only ones with a 400,000 mile powertrain warranty. They ended up having a certified used for much less, with everything I wanted, so I got that, but I agree the salespeople suck. On a side note though, don't avoid a dealer because of the tax. The tax is figured out according to where you live, not where you buy.

 

Thanks for all the suggestions, and help. I ended up with exactly what I wanted. I got a White double Cab TRD Off Road 4x4 Short bed with tow package. Got it from Bob Baker. Invoice -650. Got what I wanted for my trade too. Looking forward to meeting some of you guys.
