I have now sent him several text messages and called him several times as well and still have not heard from him. I drove all the way out here from Arizona specifically to get this bumper made. When I went out to his shop last month I told him that I would be in town in one month and would be able to come to his shop to get the bumper built on Saturday, July 21st. This is very discouraging...

Yeah like Aaron said just call him, I usually just go down to his shop. Unfortunately he is horrible at communicating with customers so for now I'm having someone else do my little fab work

Its just little things like remounting my bedsides, its desert guy(Bryan). Even he recommends you have Nick do the big stuff, Bryan can do it but Nick's work is incredible. Just show up at the shop, usually he is there till 6 or 7 but he will be at Barstow this weekend. He told me he was probably going on saturday.

It is too long of a drive from the San Diego area to just show up without knowing if he will be there, otherwise I would just do that.

    Who built your bumper?

Are any of you able to tell Nick to contact me at the race tomorrow? Tomorrow was supposed to be the day that he was going to build my bumper, guess that's not going to happen lol

Communicating with fabricators is always iffy. Even Camburg takes many tries to pick up the phone. However, if that fabricator has what you want, and you like his work, then you need to get past the shitty communication and find a way to put your work up front.

It took me many months to finalize my project with Nick, and that was especially hard since I had to coordinate between two different fabricators for different parts and jobs. However, now that everything is set in stone, I can't wait for the finished product.

My advice: if it's custom work, go to a local fabricator, that way you can be there and guide him through the process so no one walks away unhappy.

I came out to California specifically to have him build me a bumper, I discussed it with him a month ago and told him that I would be getting into town today and only staying for about 5-6 days.

So I am assuming that means that you have been able to get ahold of him today?

This, it took us about a month and a few times i was really annoyed with him, took a few useless trips down there just to get hold of him and i was talking to other shops about doing my cage but eventually he came through and his work was awesome!

Even Nick knows communication is his weak point and it still seems like it hasn't improved at all but for the week he had my truck he would send me progress pics and text me a few times a day. He's trying to satisfy everyone but being a one man show is tough on him.

Try contacting him through FB, I don't have an account but I heard he had pics of my truck when it was in the shop and seems to log on frequently.
