Yes sir. Came during a storm. Destroyed all of our tents, tables, EZ Ups and everything else. We had to pack up in the pouring rain and head to a motel for the night.

I'm a new Tacoma owner and I would love to hit up Pismo, maybe during this meet and/or on my own time. My mother used to live in Arroyo Grande for 10 years so I've visited Pismo and rented quads several times but I've never driven a truck out before.

What are the essential things to know and have? I saw the OP listed flags for the trucks? Do they have to be a certain length and color flag? My Taco is 4x4 TRD Off Road...but still stock, will I be ok? Or will I get stuck trying to keep up with some of you guys? I've watched some videos on youtube but nothing is stock...they're all jumping dunes like bats outta hell.

    What else? Tire pressure 15psi?

You will be fine with 4wd. I doubt you would even get stuck one time. 15psi is good. I was anywhere between 12 and 20 the last time I was out there in 4wd.

cool, I'm going to try and make plans w/ the wife to head out there for the meet

I know I can search...but is there a website where I can read about laws/rules for driving and camping at Pismo? Like speed limits, passing, etc.

Also what's the deal w/ the flags? Certain length or color/size flag?

    but quick answers from me..

website is above^ laws and rules for driving from waht ive been told. 15mph speed limit on the beach (near water and 50 feet from any camp site) else where is all no speed limit. OHV area is anywhere from pole 2-8 or 9. camping is 10 dollars per vehicle 5 for a day pass.

flags: has to be i think 7-9feet off the ground (the flag that is) and must be an orange triangle. i dont have any orange triangle flags but just have ones ive found out there and never been bothered ever.
