I beg to differ. I'm no LEO, but I know my weapons and how to employ them, and hitting every square inch of (possibly the wrong) vehicle with a house on the far side of my target is a no go. It is not protocol to do whatever they want if they feel threatened. They are allowed to shoot if they feel it is right, but not unload into a vehicle and not shoot up a neighborhood. I don't know anything about this so I'm not going to speculate beyond what the pictures tell. Too many holes, really really bad aim, house beyond target.

I wouldn't give the culprit too much credit, as he wouldn't have a man hunt for him if he had half a brain to begin with.

But no, the shooting was not justified one little bit. Shouldn't you see who is in the vehicle before pulling the trigger? At least that was what I have always been taught.
