    All you have to ID is the plane right? Everytime I've ever flown private I don't ever remember the pilot IDing themselves.

    Hrmm interesting... What tactical advantage does a suppressor provide in a blatant uniformed manhunt? I guess there could be tactical scenarios in this case, but is accuracy not reduced with a suppressor especially on a super-sonic round? I just find it ironic because of the gun control in California...the cops are pulling out some interesting toys... Anyone see the need for these two particular cops to equip suppressors? those are not scoped 5.56's.

    True, my thought exactly, but how would they taxi undetected? even at a "small" field? are there any fields that vacant or unmanned in the area?

    I'm only at page 34 so I'm not sure if this has been mentioned yet but thought I'd put it out there since I've seen a few comments that believe Dorner should be shot dead once found;

    Prelude: Funny enough I was having a discussion with a good friend of mine today regarding the head of the CIA being questioned about the high use of drones and congress questioning US civilian targets abroad. This raised the question "why would they be shown leniency if they are known Al Qaida members". To which he responded: Because Americans believe in the right to a fair and just trial regardless of circumstances.

    I don't condone his behavious and actions but I don't agree with all of you who would pull the trigger no questions asked.

    This "shoot and ask questions later" mentality (when there is no gun pointing at you or imminent threat clearly in sight) is completely F*cked up. Regardless of status, LEO or civilian, if you are trigger happy and jump to conclusions out of fear and go straight to action you are a threat to society.

    Well if this was a year ago when i lived in DT SD, I woulda been glad they were using suppressors, cause i like my sleep, and wouldnt want to hear a gun fight going on outside my building.

    Actually, this thread started with how bad of a job LAPD is doing. Hence the first post, with the Tacoma that is shot to shit, so yeah, this thread is kind of about how bad of a job they are doing. Thank God, with their extremely poor judgement, and poor aim, no one has been killed because of it.
