MR frosty's in PB (pacific beach) is a good place to get ice cream, coronado is a good place to see the beach, point loma is a good place to see nice houses.
honestly IMO there aren't that many good places to see in san diego.
you could stop by tylers (socal duckslayer) shop (pelfreybilt fab)
i can honestly say i've never heard of those places.

I just went bar hopping in the Gas Lamp District last weekend and I liked it. Also, Balboa park is worthy of being checked out.

Balboa Park, Coronado, Gaslamp District, Pacific Beach. Cabrillo point offers a badass view of Downtown and Coronado including the air station. If you're into greasy hippies begging for change you could check out OB(Ocean Beach). Otay Mountain Truck Trail offers commanding views of San Diego, Tijuananana and Tecate and is accessable with a car. I believe the trail was recently graded as well.

Many if not all the guides are vets and are fantastic to listen to and talk to.
My wife enjoyed it way more than I thought she would.
