Memorial Weekend, Hungry Valley SVRA/Miller Jeep trail

When I was last on that trail some dude from ttora had all sorts of trouble open/open..debeaded 3 tires and and broke his front diff..had to leave his junk on the trail overnight..but that year the condition of miller jeep was pretty bad, then it was closed for nearly two years for a DPW project and the trail was maintened for their access. Who knows what the overall condition will be this year when it opens..

 

Then there was another dude who broke both tie rod ends on his POS 4wd prerunner lol..that was a fun one.

 

And of course there was me..who was on my first trail run ever in the taco and popped a bead on the first 50 yards on the trail holding everyone back because I had a hi lift but no sliders for it while the angle where I was at made it unsafe to use the stock bottle jack lmao.. then there was the damage to my taco later on that day

Gorman itself is very easy trails for 95%. Lots if stock 2wd open diffs go and have a blast!

Haha, Billy has got it right. I have been accused on several occasions of taking people into places that will likely cause damage to their truck just so that I can sell them upgraded parts. Of course that's not true, for the most part

Hey Tyler as I remember there's no reservations of sites accepted in any state DESERT park ( I emphasize desert as for other state parks, you can.) & you can't "save" any either .. (although i don't think it'll be a problem finding spots)

 

I have to find a standby for that Sunday because I have duty and if I dont find a standby I cant go...

 

Just to let you know that if you bring your quad / dirt bike red sticker bikes are not allowed in May-nov. So being that it might not be as busy.

 

I'm in for just the day you guys do Miller Jeep, I'm too high maintenance for camping. Also I would suggest campground meeting point not be set up at a main one cause those will get crowded and rowdy quick. Best bet is gonna be one of the non marked campsites or even the forest

 

You could do that king camp right outside of gorman^

 

Do tell, I am not familiar with the area. I am a big fan of camping away form the State monitored areas. If we could get a spot a little off the beaten path that would be preferable

 

Kings campground is only 7 sites, that's a good start and might be ok if we can park more than one is a spot. The SVRA campgrounds only allow 1 vehicle per spot
