I dont normally drive the 405 through LA but the last month I have had to for work. It seems like everyday the off ramps have been closed between the 10 and 101 and it makes me go out of my way.

    Are they always closed ?

I drive a truck up and down the 405 about 6 times every night. Each night they close different ramps.

Usually they don't work on weekends but m-f they often close the ramps between Wilshire and Getty center.

They say you can read about the closures on their website but I've tried and its not updated daily. http://www.metro.net/projects/I-405/

What off ramp do you get off at?

Ya... same thing along the 5 and 134 between the 110 and 170.
Adding HOV lanes. Bunch of bullshit. Probably going to make them HOT lanes so I can have the honor of paying a toll to drive on a road that my taxes already paid to build.

Once they complete the Alameda, Western, and Empire/San Fernando interchanges, they are going to be completely rebuilding the Burbank interchange.... ripping the bridge out and cutting off access between Victory and San Fernando between Magnolia and Empire Center.
That bridge carries 45,000 cars per day. That's half the volume on the 5 freeway.
