I hear ya man. We've watched in different areas near Ojos Negros but we want to go somewhere new this time around.
Thanks for a super helpful person over on RDC, I now know how to get to RM 95 & RM102. It actually looks really easy.

From there, one could continue on the course to the summit. But the problem with that is that it appears that we'd have to wait until all the vehicles have passed by so we can come back down since it doesn't appear there is another road down.

We'll likely go for RM95 or so. We're heading down Friday afternoon though. We'll be arriving to the area at night & I know you said you're leaving Friday morning.

I thought about going down to Erendira or somewhere down the Pacific Coast. But according to my calculations, I estimate the first trophy trucks will be going up the Pacific coast side of the course around 7pm. Watching them pass by at night is not as fun. Sine all you see at night is their lights.

A look back... The Baja 500 in 2003, from my (disposable) camera, at Race Mile 80 (was east of Hwy. 3, just south of the El Alamo road, and north of Independencia): http://www.vivabaja.com/500/

Better and more photos, when we helped with Baja Pits, at the 2006 Baja 500, south of Valle de Trinidad: http://vivabaja.com/606/

Everybody races Baja... even dogs do it!:

Crazy night in mexico yesterday. ...while I approached a toll booth an f150 in front of me decides to put it in reverse and gun the fucking truck right into the front of mine. Then proceeds to try and run a federali over and crashed through the gate and takes off. Come to find out he was there an hour ago, rear ended a lady, reversed and took off. He returned with his license plates off and tries to get through the toll booth again when the toll taker and federalis spot him. My kibbetech bumper helped avoid any damage to radiator and engine, however the ends of the tube bumper had my wheels locked without being able to turn. No thanks to the mexican officials, my buddy and I were stranded without tools to get the bumper off and be on our way. Luckily, Dallas from ES motorsports and Kirby racing and his crew stopped to help us out at 3am in the middle of Mexico. Got the bumper off..headed to the condo...packed our shit and made the 4 hour drive home at 5am. Kibbe rocks and so does the crew from ES Motorsports.
