Ocotillo wells Shock Tuning trip and beer -march 8,9

Hey guys I know TDS is coming & all but if you're free march 8&9, we'll be out in Octillo wells! Meet up with us for some general shenanigans, BBQ & shock tuning. This trip started as an excuse to test out the revalve work my buddy Ryan did to his shocks & grew from there. I'll be testing mine out & bringing shims to swap out till I get it right.
Buy various valve shim sets that fit your shocks, bring all the tools you'll need (basic stuff) and let's get our rigs as perfect as we can! You can only do so much in your garage after all.

Food: BBQ hamburgers, hotdogs, beer

Drinks: beer, also beer

Location: Just north of the 4x4 Park, coordinates to follow today

Comms: Shouting loudly, Race radio station "YOKO", & CB channel 13
Alternates if those are static/ being used:
Shout louder, ham channel Weatherman, CB channel 5

Tools: if you don't have what you'll need, ask here & make sure it'll be there. **bring twice as much shock oil as you'll need** as this is much easier than limping home on two or three working shocks if you spill what you need.
Floor jacks will be there along with jack stands and tools. We should be covered for about anything.

figured I'd throw this out to anyone who wants to come. It'll be a good time. And you'll probably learn a couple things in the process.

Updated Saturday morning 3-1

Hmmm May be down to come out, do a little wheeling and hang out with ya'll. Don't think I'll be doing much tuning with my Icons, they're already set pretty nicely but I don't think I can actually tune them, lol. Either way, an OCO trip is always fun! Who's getting some pie from Julian on the way back with me?

Hmmmm. I've never been to Ocotillo and I live an hour away. I have a new TRD Sport, and haven't done much off-roading. I have street tires on it, too... (factory). That should give you guys somebody to point and laugh at.

My wife is off that weekend and actually wants to see what off-roading is all about.

Chicks allowed? After all, if there's beer... SOMEBODY has to drive me home. And if I can make it, I never show up to a beer fest without good beer. I was a sailor for 20 years, after all.

LETS GO!
Of course women are invited! I think most of us are camping overnight with our ladies. I know Reece & I will be in our truck tents, maybe Ryan if he gets his crap together :P

And nobody's gonna laugh at you man we all started stock too! You'd be amazed how capable you are as is. You can see what we've got & what works and what doesn't so when you catch the mod bug you'll save some time & money.
If your lady is picky, I'm bringing my propane shower & shower curtain, and Jetboil stove. Bring jugs of water, beer and a tent & ill provide shower & you'll have a desert hotel stay.

Looks like it's gonna be a field testing / outdoor garage trip we should be installing at least one set of Deaver leafs and kings.

Oh yeah Ryan's got the gps coordinates
I've never been before so I'll get em from him.

Also, tool list/ needed supplies
I'll have my whole tool set ready, but my sockets too out at 7/8" so I need bigger sets

I've got two sets of jack stands
One nitrogen bottle and regulator
Hi lift jack
Propane heaters
A king coil over adjuster pin tool
Beer.

I need someone with a floor jack on skids (lt guys?)
Someone with a bigger socket set
Someone who knows how to valve shocks better than I do
A spanner wrench

Just bring a regular floor jack and a piece of 1/2 of better plywood as big as the jack.

How big of socket do you need?

No idea but I'm pretty sure the one socket size we need won't be there! Assuming it ships on time, we'll be putting Reece's rear lift on & pulling coil overs off / switching valves etc so ima bring the whole garage if I can. I'll bring my jack but I don't have plywood.

Weather looks great for the weekend!

Hahaha poor people out for TDS are gonna be hurting this weekend I was out around salton sea today & the wind was blowing 40 mph with dust and rain all over
