Yo guys, BeeRadd, Krans, and myself do this trip to Ocotillo Wells every year, and this time I wanted to include the TW homies for a chance to make this a big wheeling/camping trip. Actually, the banner photo in the SoCal section you see up there is from our first trip out there 2 years ago.

Who: Anybody who wants to come
What: Camping out for 2 nights, hiking, wheeling, shooting, good times.
    Where: Ocotillo Wells/Anza Borrego
When: May 16th, after work to whenever May 18th.
Why: Do I really need a reason?

The last 4 trips have been great successes, so we're looking to make this one the same. Here's a few things to expect on this trip:

Most of us work Friday, so we'll be leaving that evening. From my experience in getting the group ready to caravan out, we usually get there after midnight. So be prepared for at least one night without a full 8 hours of sleep.

Most people don't have trucks/rigs...they're just our friends who want to tag along. It's more of a camping/shooting trip with some wheeling on the side. Don't expect to be wheeling ALL day...we take our time getting up, making breakfast, setting up/breaking down camp, etc.

We won't be doing any difficult trails, as some of the people coming do not have modified/4WD vehicles. We'll keep it to dirt roads, and those who want some more challenging wheeling can go off and have their own fun. I'll probably be out at Devil's Slide for a bit myself having some fun. Possibly a night run or two.

We'll be camping in Fish Creek Primitive camp. Vault toilets, and no running water. The campground is within State park boundaries, so all laws and regulations must be regarded. Firearms must be locked in a case, inoperable, with ammunition stored separately while within park boundaries. We'll have the opportunity to shoot at the BLM spot we normally do just accross from the campground.

Some photos of our past trips out:

aaaannnnnd im IN. Can't wait for another adventure. Each year never disappoints, I love going to OW with friends. A night run is definitely in order, i'll be setting up a tent with my lady but hopefully we can leave out supplied behind on the run so I don't lose everything like last time

Love the pics, Matt! That one of Carlos has to be the most perfectly timed.

    LOL You're still awake?!?!

Night run for sure. I'm going to buy a few more of those totes I have and build some sort of apparatus for keeping them all secure in the bed. I'll pack everything I need in there (tent, clothes, food, etc), hopefully traveling light this time. That way I'll have room for 5 in the truck, and can unload everything at camp easily.

Sweet. Looks like there may be a scheduling conflict, and Brad may not be available that weekend. :(

Trying to figure it out as we speak...will report back.

That's memorial day, and it's a no-go for me. Too many people out there anyway.

We're keeping the date. Brad may have to unfortunately sit this one out :(

Just bustin your balls. I haven't taken either off mine yet overnight without the RV, at 16 months that would be a handfull. My son and daughter both went within 3 months but it was in the RV and I had my mom and wife there. Hope it turns out for you. I'm trying to overnite with my son, but might have to day trip it with both kids.
