Was wondering if anybody local can help me out by fabricating a custom rear tire carrier for the bed of my truck. I have a few pictures n ideas of what i want. Looking to get this done hopefully this weekend. Of course i'd pay you $$$ and beer of your choice! :D
Also, if possible, i'd like to be a part of it being made. I have no knowledge of welding and think it would be cool to learn a little bit along the way.
    Thank you.

Funny this week my buddy was asked me to design and help him build a custom tire carrier. There are a large amount of guys who custom fab on here. 1 weekend is pretty hard to do unless they have the material on hand or are a full scale fab shop. Drop in on a thread local to you. Socal is a pretty broad area. Also maybe attach a photo or describe for what you are looking for. You also have a larger fab shops around that would be willing to help you out too.

edit: had to reread, maybe post up your pic on here.

Thanks for the tip. I'll probably post it in the 951 thread. To be honest, the carrier I have in mind is taken from a few ideas of Beefed Taco's T handle carrier and a carrier I had years ago. I've reached out to him several times for him to take my money but I get nowhere. But anyways, yeah I'll see if I can't post this in the 951 thread. Thanks again.

Have you tried KR Fab? He builds lots of custom bumpers for members on here. His name is Kenny, cool dude. He is listed on the vendors page.

Pelfreybilt is also out of So Cal and does tons of custom stuff. The lead time is a little long but Tyler makes QUALITY products and Satin's customer service is top notch. They are listed on the venders page also or www.pelfreybilt.com

You got dmz in Norco. They make sick bolt in tire carrier and bed cages. You are right in the middle of a ton of fabrication guys. Post your pic that you want. I'm curious what you are trying to have made

Even dezertrangers.com has a bunch of garage fab guys

Thanks guys for all the local shops. I got a message out to Demello as well to see if he'd be willing to help me out. I'll see if I can't get a hold of Pelfreybilt and DMZ.

What I want doesn't seem like it would be too extreme, it's just real basic. Like I said, these pictures/carriers are from BeefedTaco's website. They are carriers that he fabbed himself. I've tried multiple ways and times of getting a hold of him and i've had no luck whatsoever. Here is what I want...

This is his T-Handle carrier only for 2nd gen Taco's cause it uses the factory bed bolts and assuming it sits right up against the cab

I want something similar to this, minus the hinges at top. I want mine to sit at the edge of the bed. This is almost similar to one I had several years ago but the only thing that I don't like about the T-Handle is that it weathers/rusts and sticks, that's exactly what happend to my last one. Sooo I would want this carrier of his incorporated into that one to allow for Y-Strap option as well

I'm not askin for too much, am i? :D

That is really simple. I'd offer to make you one, but I'm still new to my bender and can only bend 1.75" tubing. Why not do a universal bolt in Prerunner tire carrier? They are only about $150. I'd just bolt some thick washers or plate under the bed it to help prevent the bed from cracking at the bolt holes from off road.

    Thank you :)

Well I moved my search over to dezertrangers n got several offers n leads. Different fab shops from Santa Ana, to Upland, to Temecula. So I might end up going with one of these guys. Was hoping to find garage fabricator since it's nothing extreme that I want. I'll keep this thread updated.

Just wanted to update this thread and give a big thanks to Travis @ GNsteelworks for helpin me build my carrier. He works out of his garage in Costa Mesa as a side job and i'll tell you, he really knows what he's doing. Even though it was just a tire carrier I wanted this time, I know where to go now for my over the top fabrication needs. He replied to my classified on DezertRangers and same day was able to meetup with him n show him my ideas n what I wanted in a carrier, price was very fair and most importantly he's honest and trustworthy. I was able to leave my truck with him over the weekend and he got the job done in just about a day where as others quoted me way more and wanted the truck for a week or so. The carrier turned out really nice and extremely sturdy(pics to come...)

If anybody ever needs fabrication from the simplest of job even to the most extreme, hit up Travis on DezertRangers, his username on there is OCORtravo or call/text him 714-345-NinetyEightZeroFive
