I know it's a long shot, but I could really use a hand from someone who knows what they're doing. I'm in the middle of trying to install rear King shocks and can't get the lower shock mount to line up to get the bolt back in. Any handy with this willing to swing by? I'd be willing to throw a little $ your way for your time. I hate to give up and put the oem shocks back in but I feel like I'm not making any headway. To top it off when I went to put the front kings in yesterday, my floor jack died on me so I'm working with the bottle jack.

    A few bolts are different.
Put a screwdriver through the eye and twist to lien up.

Or, put bottom in, compress, twist shock body to desired position, allow decompression while aligning top post into position.

    Boom, you're done.

I've been trying the screwdriver, but can't the last 16th of an inch or so to line up.

May see if I can get bottom to mount first.

The truck just "settled" (wiggled) on the jack stand and I think that's got me a little freaked out.

Nope, put the oem stocks back on. Grr.

I'm wondering if part of the problem was that I only had one side lifted on a jack stand and the other side tire still on the ground, possible this limited the amount of droop to line up the shock mount?

I was able to get the lower mount bolted up 1st but couldn't get shock compressed and lined up to the top mount by myself.

Let some of the nitrogen out of the shocks and install. Your fighting the shocks because they are fully charged with nitrogen. Go to your nearest off-road shop and top them off.

Thanks for the offer, but I got a shop to do it Monday afternoon for a very reasonable price.

That's exactly what the shop said and makes perfect sense.
