Socal Off Road trails??

Sweet! see you there! I'll be at Smith Forks which is down by the 4WD practice course. I'll either be in my Black DCLB tacoma or my Silver 4Runner...still not sure which one I'm bringing yet. the Taco has new UCAs and springs but the 4runner has 4wd.... decisions decisions

 

Yea, no worries! I wish I could go, but can't. When I saw you guys posting about it, I thought why not bring it in for a TW team huddle, and maybe something could work out. lolol

 

Well, everyone from the other thread couldn't make it out this time. I'm here now but not sure how long I'll stay.

I'm in the park headed to Smith Forks now... Not much mud from what I have seen so far... Never been here before so not a good comparison to normal for this area.

 

Cool man. We'll have fun! It's a cool place. The 4x4 practice area is pretty fun.

Yeah not a ton of mud. There's a little here and there but it's been pretty dry for the last 20hours or so.

 

Turned out to be a great time! Thanks Shauncho for connecting and showing me around a bit! Turned out to be plenty of mud once we looked for it LOL... Glad to have met you in person!

Yeah! Had a blast! It was great meeting you! We found the mud alright!! Didn't feel like dealing with getting unstuck so decided to play it safe most of the time but still had a blast. It still amazes me at what this 2wd can handle!

We need to go back...soon!

 

Oh and did you end up finding your way out through Piru?

 

The road is closed off by the park department at a creek a few miles back in there. I did a little more wheeling in there then came home the same way you did. Drove out the south exit about 5:00.

 

Ahhhh good to know. Wonder if the closure was just for this storm or if it's a seasonal thing like miller trail.

 

Looks seasonal... They have a permanent gate right before a creek crossing followed by a climb uphill. Likely every year they close it as the creek had water flowing over the road.

 

Damn, sounds like it was a blast! I have to try get there next time

 

I am heading back to Hungry Valley Saturday. I hope to be there by around 10:30 will like wheel most of the afternoon then head home. Anyone that wants to connect for some trail time feel free to hit me up. My cell is posted a few posts up.
