We will be doing a Corral Canyon run on Jan 3RD.
    http://dirtopia.com/wiki/Corral_Canyon_OHV_Area

Meeting at the Carls Jr parking lot in Alpine, Tavern Rd exit off Interstate 8 at 8:00 am. Corral Canyon is appx 45 mins from here.

Corral Canyon has several levels of difficulty to choose from and pretty much has something for everyone from stock 4x4 to extreme crawlers.
Nearly all runs have potential for at least pin-striping whereas others have high probability of body damage.

We will likely have a couple different groups to run at different levels, depending on the amount of trucks.

Pelfreybilt will be providing a BBQ lunch for everyone at the Corral Canyon campground at around 1:00 PM.
This is not a sponsored event, simply a gathering of people that like to wheel.

Keep in mind that this area is Cleveland National Forest and an adventure pass is required

Post up if you would like to attend and we will add you to the list, please also post what level of run you would like to do so we can start planning

I'm in, and bringing Lindsay. Look forward to seeing you guys and trying some new trails. Tyler probably has a better idea of what trails I can run than I do... Probably all but the connector.

We wont be running the connector. Unless a few people have dedicated crawlers that they are trailering in I dont believe anyone will. The conncetor is above the level of an IFS rig

Little something else to consider. There are 2 great campgrounds here, Corral Canyon and Bobcat Meadows campgrounds. They are primitive but do have toilets. This is a great option for either night for anyone that wants to make a weekend out of it or just stay the night before or after the run.

    I'm in!

I ran Bronco Peak once in reverse (climbing mostly) in the rain, and it was brutal hell without a locker. Almost slid off the trail a few times. How much harder you figure it is going down?

At any rate, I'll probably take it easy and run Sidewinder. I haven't ran it yet, but I hear it's easier and still fun.

Not sure which direction is up or down on Bronco Peak. We have only ran it from the Bronco Flats side and it is impassible in a Tacoma without front AND rear lockers. We may or may not run the peak depending on who goes.

Sidewinder is definitely part of the plan-it's our favorite trail in Corral Canyon. We have a little bone to pick with Sidewinder from our last run... where it jumped out & bit us in the side of the cab & fender! (Tyler was driving of course!) ha ha I did it with ZERO damage! :p

You bringing the crawler? I don't plan on running Bronco Peak after last time, definitely if nobody is bringing a helmet for me :D

Yeah from Bronco Flats to the main road is going up, the same way I ran it, no lockers, in the rain, with bald A/T's. LOL Needed help more than a few times with a winch and strap, but I made it through eventually.

Sidewinder sounds good. I'm excited! :D

If there are enough interested we can certainly run the peak. It's about all an IFS tacoma can digest. It's just hard on the equipment for the daily drivers so people need to know what they are getting into.
I would love to run the peak and sidewinder for the more advanced group.

Open/open will not be running these trails. Absolute minimum one locker for the peak and that's if we run it the easy way. Sidewinder can probably be done open/open with some assistance in a couple spots, again, if we run the easy way

I think you'd be ok on sidewinder. Couple tough spots that you may need a little help. With your bedsides there is a spot or two that may reshape them a bit tho.

Who doesn't like a little rub and tug tho....

Oh the beauty of fiberglass...you can patch it or replace it and rewrap it for relatively cheap. I'm not a huge stickler when it comes to body damage anyway, just avoid is as best as I can and if it happens, it happens.
