why don't you start a thead for a san diego mod day when you are ready to stay home for a weekend. i am sure alot of guys would like to do this but don't want to drive up here.

I've just been busy on the two previous mod days!

 

which time at silverado, i did it the last two trips, going to do the pine valley run again this saturday. i will try the 4x4 trail.

Didnt know where else to post this but thought this would be close to helping me out...I plan on getting a tonneau cover for the bed of my tacoma, to save me that $100 that the DMV is charging me every year for not having the bed covered, anyway I want to know where is a reliable place to get one here in San Diego???

Yeah but the colored matched ones that I could find are over a grand, looking to spend 9 or less.

Yeah man, check your registration, for me being military and claiming Kansas as my home of record I pay about $80 for each vehicle for California registry, but on the truck they add on what is called a truck weight, or they consider it a commercial vehicle for not having the bed covered with a camper or tonneau cover. So my total on the truck is like $165 or something a year.

 

are you sure that a tonneau cover will change it from commercial, as far as i'm concerned it is omly a shell. Last time i was at the dmv I asked about and they told me it was a difference of $8 a year, i have a shell and did not bother, and good luck finding a color matched cover for under $1000.

 

I found one for $900 it is a century fiberglass color matched one...I'm going to call DMV before, but either way it will still look nice on my pickup so its a plus no matter how you look at it, here is the company I think I'm going to get it from.
