Hello all, I plan on setting up a wheeling trip to raise money for the leukemia lymphoma society. I am currently preparing to run the San diego rock and roll marathon with the San Diego team in training, and would like to bring more awareness and funds for cancer research and supporting the families of the patients.
My Tacoma is still in the SAS process, so As of now the plan is to do a run in the first weekend of May, at an undisclosed location. to join the run you have to donate, anything even a dollar and you get the day, time and location.
I've only done a few runs in SoCal, so I'm looking for someone to help me plan this, I have a few trails in mind but if someone with more experience down here wants to help please pm me your contact info.
Whatever trail is decided, it will be an easier trail, so as many people as possible can join, and at the end id like to take a picture of all the people and the rigs with a sign for my friend who was diagnosed with leukemia. If you just want to donate and can't join then by all means feel free to do so, my goal is to raise $5000 for the leukemia lymphoma society. To donate visit this link!!! Thanks and hope for a great outcome!!

That's pretty cool, op. Good on ya'. I will throw a few bucks your way. Wish I could be there for the trail run, but I'll be there in spirit for your buddy. My step sister overcame lymphoma. Its awesome that you're helping him stay positive. That is the most important IMHO.

Donated! Just a note for anyone using PayPal, you will be automatically set up for recurring payments to The Lukemia Society. Not that it's a bad thing, just a heads up.

+1 to OP for a good cause

Thank you, the point is cancer sucks, and toyotas are awesome. The leukemia lymphoma society's research also helps other cancer patients. I'm sorry about your loss, I hope that we can stop losing lives soon with new medicines and treatment options

Yo man. I totally respect your choice to do this. Awesome!! We did a run for Cbassd back in September for a tumor that he had. It was a pretty epic time and a good turn out. I will hit up your fund raising page and do the run if I don't work that weekend. If I can make it, will you be able to take cash donations at the meet? Best wishes.

Sounds good. I'm gonna spread to word on Fort Irwin. I may be able to get a few people involved, but unfortunately they don't drive Tacos. Their loss. Lol

Great that you are doing this! Would join the run if I was in So Cal. Too much of losing folks too young going on. Our club is working a fund raiser for a member's wife and two boys (lost Jeff at 44 to a heart attack). Amazing how the 4WD Community of all flavors steps up in times of need. Good luck with your project and think about opening the event up to all 4wd's. Ours is a Toyota Club but there were as many Chrysler Products at the event as Toys. When it comes to events like this, brand loyalty gets trumped by the goodness in the 4wd community regardless of what they drive.

This event is open to anyone who wants to participate, not just Toyotas. The point is to bring awareness to a good cause

The 2nd doesn't work for all of the dudes out here at Fort Irwin. We will be in the "field" training. Sorry man. I'm still gonna throw some funds at your fund raising page when I get out of the field. The 9th would be best but I get it.
