Where exactly in SoCal are you? SoCal ranges from Ventura all the way down to San Diego.

If you're ever on the 210 and get on Angeles Crest HWY, take that up to Mt. Wilson and you get an amazing view of most of LA area...

Best to go at night to check out the lights, they have an observatory there too if you go during the day...

PCH is always good too! 20 different roads in one area!!! :D

Down in your area for street trucks I would suggest up to mount palomar, when I had my tC people talked a lot about that drive.

Take I-8 east til' you see the Sunrise hwy exit ,take that exit,at the stop sign do a left go over the freeway & this road will take you up to Mount Laguna (nice scenery) there are a few look out points where from the very edge of this mountain range it over looks the Anza Borrego desert, if you continue its length (about 20-22-miles) It'll come up to another stop sign , left takes you to Cuyamaca lake, right takes you to historic gold mining town of Julian (awesome cider, awesome apple pie) Really nice drive & not too far from CV. Happy trails:cool:
