2010 Tierra Del Sol Desert Safari March 5,6,7

48th Annual Desert Safari to be held March 5th, 6th and 7th in the Truckhaven Hills area of the North Ocotillo Wells SVRA. I did this run last year and it was a good time...The family focused 48th annual Desert Safari will again present an awesome trail for all skill levels within the 4x4 community and the famous “TDS Raffle” with more than $100K in prizes. The Raffle is legit, For $60 you got a raffle ticket and the chance to win over 100k worth of prizes. There are strict safety req's b4 you can go out and wheel. The requirements are listed on this page..www.TDSDESERTSAFARI.com.

They have a station set up where they check out your ride, then give you an event sticker that lets you get on the trails they lay out. Me and a few friends went out last year and had a blast.

The downfall is you have to have a 4x4. To for the prerunners you can come out, but would have to ride with 1 of us.

I think it would be cool to get a large group of Tacoma's out there and have a good time.

MOnkey i saw you guys roll out in the AP Caravan last year.. I rolled out with some rock crawlers and ended up in the huge caravan, so it took all day, but had a blast none the less. You going back out there next year.

 

too early to tell yet haha. it's a crazy place down there during TDS and would be hard not to plan on it

nah..i think there are plenty of washes and other trails that everybody can spend a whole day on at TDS without having to be in some stupid jeep group on an organized run. if you want to participate in the raffle then do the 60 bucks haha..maybe worth it cuz the raffle s huge!!

 

A buddy of mine won a set a of 37 inch goodyear MTR's 2 yrs ago. Not bad for a 60 dollar gamble... They raffle off alot of cool stuff, its worth the 60 bucks. A good portion of the money goes towards the Land usage fight to keep our trails open. It seems like every year the Sierra Club takes more and more away..

You can sign up online, or at the event its self. Would like to have a Socal tacoma's ( steve.......whats up bro) camp site going on there this year...
