its all in how the thread is presented etc

a thread about smoking and discussion of actually smoking goes south pretty quick

a thread discussing the actual thoughts of both sides etc but not about actually using in and of itself tends to go ok

Just because it is legal doesn't mean everyone is going to go out and smoke. If you want to smoke you smoke. It is extremely easy to get and people will get it if they want it. If it is legalized I guarantee my parents, brother, and other family and friends aren't going to do it.

So if it is that easily accessible why not tax the crap out of it and at least make money off of those who wish to partake in that activity. I have no problem with weed or alcohol, people just need to know their limits and be mature about it. I have had family members who were alcoholics and I wish they took better control of themselves. If history repeats itself, pot will become legalized

What gain is made from alcohol being legal? Besides marijuana being less harmful it has medical uses also...which is more then anyone can say for alcohol

I've heard of that also with the red wine right? That is one medical use for alcohol I guess, but marijuana has many more. (Talking Legitimate uses not the doctors that will give you a card for anything).

I could get a medicinal marijuana card, but I choose not to. I don't think it really helps that much..
