WOW, now that was better than the other day

 

felt that one!

 

Should have been up here old man, it was fucking crazy. House almost fell off of its stilts! They say it was a 5.9

 

5 miles from Ocotillo , goodbye split mountain/fish Creek

 

Felt it here in PB, dogs barking and a picture broke...think our TV is to heavy for it's stand it was full sway.

 

Thats why i said you should have been up here, we are only 25 mins from there and it shook like crazy up here

 

I bet it was a good shake, the building on our corner of Cass and Wilbur is like 12 stories, everyone was outside chatting away. Last good one the paint scaffold dropped 10 stories to the ground, I was dopped up post surgery and was thinking it was just me.

 

Hey Matt, ya think some of that Fish creek trail is blocked now ? I'd bet some of is......

 

It wasn't that bad here.

 

It was pretty bad here in Carlsbad. Doug off topic but we need tony to upload those pictures from the weekend. There was some major flexing going on with Vi's truck.

It was a little south of Ocotillo Wells...in the town of Ocotillo (approx 10 miles away)

 

Parents are in San Diego, got a call from my mom.

pretty good one here in carlsbad. i loveee earthquakes

 

Mine is mounted on my wall and it sure was shaking.

 

i was driving on the 405 man the freeway was ROLLIN...we need an official thread for earthquakes for us socal people. But anyways the it seems like the pacific plate is on the move this year, there has been a lot of 5.0+ magnitude earthquakes we have been having esp in socal, 2 6.0+ hit in the Phillipines and Japan not too long ago back near the end of May, I would not be surprised if we keep having a lot of crazy earthquakes this year. On the USGS map there is A LOT of activity down near ocotillo and baja and there was an earthquake swarm in redlands earlier in jan and feb and recently on the Palos verdes fault too. be prepared!

I was washing the sink out at pizza hut in alpine...and all the water started moving around then all the racks (12 foot tall storage racks) starting swaying like they could fall over. Went outside and you could see the big glass windows flexing too. Not a huge fan of earthquakes myself
