i think the breakdown in communication here is that you made the joke about "we all carry' in the context of a serious reply...

kinda like a grade school teacher talking about how his students seem to be maturing so quickly and then interjecting a joke about how he "likes his dates young"

going back on the previous post, i understood the "carry" comment as a matter-of-fact type statement, not as something light hearted...

but after all the back and forth commentary, i pretty much forgot what y'all were debating...

If you continue reading onto section b, c, d, and so on, eventually you get to the part that talks about exemptions. In order to understand the law you must understand the elements of a crime, and if you decide to only read the first 5 lines of a PC that is nearly 2 pages long, you clearly wont understand.

On another note, PC626.9 is related to the gun free school zone act.... I might have missed something, but when did the freeway become a school zone???

I agree, i made a stupid comment that was out of context, therfore people did not see it as a joke and it made me look like a jack ass. I get it no big deal. I just dont see how some people can take as far as busting out penal codes and acting like the wrote the dam law when really everything they said was wrong.

I made a dumb comment/joke and since im the new guy on the block apparently im not privileged to do that yet, so everyone is talking a bunch of crap and im just getting the last laugh because they are making themselves look stupid in the process. Im over it, I just thinks its funny now. People have alot to say from behind a computer screen thats all.

I dont exactly know why you would take offense to me saying not to get mad at people who speed, is was simply just my opinion. I guess I see things differently. After re-reading my post I agree I sounded a little rude, my apologies. I Certainly am not the type to twist words or tell stories to make myself look "cool", I was only joking around. I do take the badge very seriously. Police, security, CSO, trainee, it doesnt matter. We are all brothers/sisters out there and its a different level respect that most people dont understand. I would never use my badge in a disrespectful or abusive manor I can assure you that. As far as the penal codes debate is concerned, you are correct, it is very difficult to understand and highly debate-able, which is not what I am going for here. That debate is over now, but people talking crap about my stupid post is one thing, but someone trying to get smart and just straight make me look like an idiot when everything he said was wrong just plain made me mad. He was not "trying to understand", he took it too far. Ill gladly own up to my mistake and admit I messed up, no big deal.

I have been on Toyota Nation for years without ever having an issue, I enjoy giving my advice/opinion, learning from all you more experienced, and participating in events and the chatting. I was upset because Ive been on TW for 1 week and I found people that take things to a whole new level, and thats just messed up. I will continue to participate and people can judge me as they please. I owned up, now moving foreword.

 

On a lighter note, this is actually pretty hilarious. Im still insulted you would even refer to this, but that is besides the point. It got me a good laugh anyways.

the reaction might have been a lot worse if you posted this in some of the other websites...

the TW So Cal community is a lot tighter than on TN, and playing nice can lead to a plethora of hook ups and freebies on truck gear, so no point to bickering online... at some point, all you guys will end up on the same offroad run, and someone will need some help along the way...

like i always say, "If you can't be there for me when I get it wrong, don't expect me to hook you up when I get it right!"

now back to some So Cal truck sightings....
