    LAWL, a quote from these:

Here is the questions. The ducttape solution, although tactically sound, is hot and painful to remove. I would like to go to the single-plate solution in back. What I am worried about is repeated hits to that area with .308 ammunition. I have a high-risk security job and I fear that I would be the target for repeated long-distance shots to my back.
Are any of you aware of a thicker plate that could stop, say, .338 Lapua or something like that? Is there a better way to do the second plate?

    pretty funny

Yesterday around 3:30 I saw a silver 2012 DCSB with black rims on Euclid and commonwealth. I was waiting at the light and he had all his windows rolled down and as he drove by, kept staring and pointing at my truck to his passenger and still kept looking through his rear windows as he kept driving off. He looked amazed  anyone on here? Didn't mean to make fun of you but god damn it looked like you broke your neck trying to stare at my truck lol

Any place within 1000ft of a K-12 school that the person carrying "knows or reasonably should know about"

I have a "friend" who was convicted under 626.9 while on private property (which is exempted) approximately 800ft from a K12 school that he did not know about.
The judge disallowed the private property defense because the property was OPEN to the public.
    This happened in Alhambra.

I didn't seriously think it was you...

But when you said "Armed response team" and "private company" the first thing to come to mind was Gecko and his airsoft arsenal :D

But back to the original point...
Yes, you can do pretty much whatever you want on private property that you are under contract to protect.
On public property, you are subject to the same laws as the rest of us... as are your off-duty LEO partners when they are driving their private vehicles.
So no... the guy I was telling to slow the fuck down was 100% outside of the law, and in a BIG way, no matter who he works for, even if he was a sworn officer.

BTW: Before you tell me that I'm full of shit on California gun laws, I've studied them for a few years now (best way to stay out of jail), and yes, I assumed that you did not have an LTC (I assumed that you lived in LA County and had not donated $10k to Baca's re-election fund).
And yes, I am aware that handgun open carry is now illegal with some exceptions. I have not studied up on what the guard-card permits WRT the new law... it doesn't impact me, but there are a LOT of "Gecko45" guys out there that seem to think the Guard Card is their permit to play cop.

And Tigerfan is a California cop... not just a Moderator and not just some yahoo.

Good... but one of my favorite parts is the response to that...
