Thats actually a great score. I looked it up. The average golfer has a handicap of 28. Which would be an average score of 100. So high 80's is actually a great score, regardless of how much you play.

As often as I can. Just got my son (11) started this year. He can already break 100 from the whites. I live and die by the driver. If it's off, my game is crap. If it's on, I'm usually low 80's. Broken 80 only about 7 times. Addictive... no matter how bad you play at times, there's always that one shot that brings you back. Plus what other sport can you play when your 80...Lol!

Choice "I'm an avid golfer" and "Screw golf!" should be on the same line, anyone that plays can can relate, I think.

I went and played today and shot a 54 on the front 9, thats all I played due to rain. But I'm getting a ton better since I started! It can be a very frustrating game, but tons of fun for the most part!

I play golf a lot and I'm about a 4 handicap... not bad since I'm still in high school :D Hopefully I'll get a scholarship in college.

I play about twice every 3 weeks about 8 months of the year. Started playing at 14 years old and I'm now 51. Have an official PGA handicap of 12.4. I have a double-eagle trophy from 250 yards out on a par 5. I'm 2 inches shy of that elusive hole-in-one.

I'm always buying some new piece of equipment because it's "the arrow and not the Indian", right? Great lifetime sport. You can play until you die if you're healthy.

I have had 2 holes in one, but no double eagles.

A double eagle is a bigger feat than a hole in one IMO.
