I would just wait for your arm to heal before start doing activities like snowboarding. 1 crash can put your arm back at step 0 or worse. The snow will be there next season.

The best way to heal is to heal right the first time ;)

But if you're hell bent on doing it, wear a big ass brace.

Isn't that what a cast is? A big ass brace. I am kinda hell bent on going cause my wife and I saved up for 2 years just to go again and we already have paid for everything. I am just going to "joy ride" I guess and not go hard and push it aggressively like I usually like to ride.

If you go down on that wrist, you'll want more than the cast.

Have you ever boarded with one arm secured against your body? That pretty much what you'll have to do.

Directional forces will still go through the bone and a quick change of direction can easily dislodge something.

What bone did you fubar? :p

It will hurt if you fall. My buddy broke his wrist and kept skiing. Granted it didn't heal for 6 mon. because he kept falling on it... Haha
It's your arm, do what you want. I would go too.
I wish I had a broken arm rather than my ankle being f'd at least then I could ski!!

Orthopedists like the put screws in that one.

It only gets blood supply from one end and and heals like crap in some people if you split the distant end.

A spill on the board could result in a surgery. If you do go make sure to secure your arm against your body so in the event you fall you won't try and catch your self with it. But pad the crud out of it.

I've said my piece. As said previously do what you want, it's your arm. :)

I honestly feel like I might be getting screws in it anyway down the road :(
He told me the same thing that those bones rarely heal right and nonunion occurs.
