    True. Just giving him sh**.

Pre-season rankings are idiotic anyway. I came to Alabama as a freshman in 2000. We were 'pre-season #3' that year. My roommate and I flew to California to watch first game of the season that year: UA/UCLA. Alabama lost, and went on to win just 3 games that year.

Yes the rankings mean nothing, but they have to start somewhere. On paper there is no reason Clemson shouldn't of won. In reality how many teams do finish the season ranked as high as thier pre-season expectations....5 maybe?

i think he just signed a six year contract. i was pissed beyond belief when i heard that. here's what i hate about clemson. you put them up against the NY Giants, and somehow clemson would manage to not only win but beat their ass into the ground. then we play some no name college that just started its football program, and we trip over our own shoe laces and get our asses handed to us. the inconsistency of this team drives me crazy!!!

last year i walked out of the VT game at half time. i dont see a problem with it. here are my reasons for leaving. 1) cant buy beer in the stadium, my flask was empty, i was losing my buzz and had to have a drink to cope with how my tigers were playing. 2) that was the only game i ever payed to get into and in the highest row in the entire stadium. 3) if they dont want me to leave the game early, then stop sucking so badly!!!! i will always be a clemson fan but if they start playing like a high school team i'll walk out, its not worth my time to watch. i dont mind when clemson loses. if they play a good game, if the score is close, if they look tight but are just playing a better team, then fine, i'll stay and cheer till i cant speak. but there are games when it looks like they just lay down to die after the first 5 minutes. and then i look at bowden and he's just standing there like a deaf dumb mute. when there is no passion and no energy, you cant expect me to stay in the stadium. and thats what i keep seeing with clemson. unbelievable energy and passion one game, then the next looks like they are all on pain killers just standing around watching the butterflies. i can stand watching them lose, i cant stand watching them run around like the special needs kids at recess

i can understand that completely...however...i pay WAY too much money to NOT watch every miserable second...then i can complain about how clemson owes me a refund

ok, my hatred for USC aside, they really do have bad fans. i have been to multiple games and they aren't as good natured as clemson fans. now thats a generality but it hold true many times. On the Clemson campus the student council actually makes an effort to keep tiger fans good natured and civil. i'm sure alot of schools do that but the students actually talk about it. in fact, we pride ourselves on being nice people and being generous and polite to the visiting team. sure we talk shit but that comes with the territory. i have no issue with another teams fans (even usc fans if they're cool) coming to our tailgate and partying and joking and drinking beer and eating on our food. but every time i have been to columbia for a clemson USC game its been tense. lots of fights, alot of hostility, and not good natured. i guess thats the difference between a school full of good ole boy rednecks in the middle of thousands of acres of farm land and a school thats located in hte heart of the capitol of the state. city folks aren't nearly as amiable as country folks, and it shows at the game. i take pride in treating visiting fans as friends, USC and UGA among other teams dont seem to share that pride

yeah, i have a couple friends that live in the area. i go down every year for carolina cup and i'm always amazed at how shitty our capitol is. the streets are ghetto no matter what part of the city you're in. not to mention its hot and humid and there hasn't been a breeze on columbia since 1954.

Well even if Clemson's season goes south, there's always the annual brawl with USC. I remember a couple of years back when they both beat each other's ass on the tunnels and Lou Holtz and Bowden refused invitations to a bowl game for their players actions. Now if Tommy Bowden could get his players to kick ass on the field, they'd be a force to be reckoned with.

I've never understood how coaches cannot make adjustments during a game. You run a bubble screen once and it doesn't work, move the playcard back in the pack, run it again and nothing don't call it again, but three and four times and nothing? what the hell would make anyone think one more time is the magic number  I personally think Tennessee has more to bitch about than Clemson at this point. They lost to an unranked team with a 3rd string qb. Clemson casn still run the ACC though especially after VT's letdown, and Tommy has owned Bobby the past couple of years.

i remember that fight, and i dont think it was in the tunnels, i think it was on the field. they fought someone on the field, cant remember if it was usc but i think it was. it was awesome! totally worth skipping a bowl game!

i was there for that fight...

and for the record...we dont DO no stinkin tunnels :D

The start that ugly game off...Carolina's prime time star running back/hardees burger flipper Demitris Summers and they're all star QB Syvelle Newton decided to meet Clemson at the bottom of the hill when we entered the stadium...

that resulted in some pushing and shoving...prob lots of talking shit...and some yellow flags...

as the game progressed...as usual...Clemson was kicking the dog piss out of the chickens and a carolina player got his panties in a twist and started a fight...nay...an all out brawl...

it ended with Yusef Kelley kicking some chicken in the head and then another of our players taking a USC helmet and tossing it into the stands...and then as SC's finest were escorting both teams off the field...several USC players began fighting with both themselves and SCHP...jackasses
