My husband and I used to bowl in leaques.... back when our bowling alley offered some nice incentives (free bowling in the summer). They stopped doing that and prices went 'way' up and my work schedule prevented me from attending. I was spending more time finding subs than anything else.

We went bowling a few weeks ago (it's been 12 years since we bowled). Discovered our bowling shoes had dry-rot. After the first game, the soles of my shoes fell off! We went and bought new stuff.

I'd do it again if my schedule allowed it....

funny you mention bowling, my friend just called me and asked if i wanted to go tonite. we used to go all the time in the winter but since the weather has been warmer we havent gone as much. i got into it during my time in the military, every base ive been to has a bowling alley for some reason and it was always real cheap on base too. ive never been in a league though.

Wow, I haven't picked up a ball in quite a few years. I used to bowl in summer & winter leagues for years. Even was into state & city tournaments... I think I started when I was in the cub scouts, & through my 30's. I ended up with an average of 185....sure miss those days, lotta fun!:D

Used to bowl in a "couples league" lots of fun. Haven't been in about 2 years now. I think I'll give it another try over the winter.
