absolutely love playing. Was a catcher/pitcher in the youger days of baseball. Now I really enjoy the action on 3rd base. The hot corner.......and anyone that thinks softball is for the week, go stand on third when 250lb. pure muscle Billy Bob rocks your world with a 200mph rocket right at yer teeth.:D...now that's adrenaline!

given the pace and the amount of physical exertion one expects while playing softball, if you don't need a rascal to get around you're fit enough to play softball.

I'm a chick, but clicking the top option bc I am one of the few around here allowed to play in men's. We usually play coed and I am also on a women's team, but I enjoy men's bc there is nothing more entertaining than burning an outfielder and making him show his number to the crowd while racing around the bases for an in the park homer. At a skinny 125 lbs, people just don't expect much stroke or placement skills from me.

Trying to bring this thread back to life for a bit.

Softball season just ended for both my leagues and we made playoffs for each team. Made it about 6 games deep on one team and just 2 games on the other team. (Double elimination)

One question I have is what equipment does your team use as far as bats? Miken? Demarini? Worth?etc.

Lot of guys bringing shaved bats to the games now and suspiciously have a lot of pop lol. Not knockin the peole that do that, do what you want. :D

Took the trophy. 1st place in the city. All the teams we beat in the playoff 12 runned us in regular season. Pretty fucking intense. Needless to say the teams we beat were pretty pissed off average age on our team was 18 and we are kinda obnoxious with shitty equitment and some pretty unathletic kids but pulled off a miracle beating the local police team by one point in the chipper. Great way to end the summer as we all head to college. Great memories made that I will never forget.

congratulations! Unfortunately I play on much older teams where the average age is about 44-47. Only young person on both teams, looking for a younger team next season maybe. Always fun when you're the lower seed though and knock everyone out. I'd be pumped. :D

very nice, my good team finished 12-1 which we lost by 4 but it was a fun season. Thats what sucks about the losers bracket though. Sooooooooo many games.
