I don't know I'm worried about some games next year but I think it will be a great season. I'm excited about the big 10.

Good move on his part and OSU's.... now there's nothing "illegal" about boosters paying him to keep his mouth shut.

Soon OSU will be back to being 0-10 vs. the SEC.

    OSU alum checking in.

Tressel's still a great guy. If I had an 18 year old son, I'd send my kid to his program. That being said, Every program is guilty of this. I laughed at USC, UF and Alabama when they had their troubles. it was only a matter of time before the Sheriff came around to Columbus. For everyone else out there, your program is either irrelevant or waiting to get busted.

OSU was just starting to clean up for Maurice Clarett, one bonehead to did dumb things back in 2002. The "I know nothing" defense worked for Pete Caroll - Not so much for Tressel.

These violations were known before the bowl game. the NCAA told OSU they would be allowed to play in the bowl game. I dont know how you can unearth dirt on 5 players, suspend them for the first 5 games of next season, allow them to play in a bowl game, then vacate the win because the players were ineligible. the sugar bowl went crying to the NCAA and worked a deal so the players could play. It would have been disaster for the TV ratings of the game to have those players out.

What will it take to stop calling it nonsense and admit they are a good team?

Boise can beat anyone in a 1-off game or if they have a month to prepare.

If they played in the SEC, or had to go play some big10 road night games in winter they'd lose 2 or 3 each year. The most hostile stadium in their conference is something like 25,000 seats.

I don't deny that in a big time conference they would suffer some losses and wouldn't dominate like they have been, but they would hold their own and be a competitive and entertaining team.
I don't understand your preparation argument. Doesn't every team have the same preparation time for their opponents once the schedule is announced? You can call them one off games, but they have shown a pattern of winning when they do get the chance to face the big guys... it hasn't happened only once.

BTW, BSU's own stadium capacity is 30K+, and will soon be 53K. Not huge, I know; just setting the facts straight :)

I'm not claiming that BSU is the best team around, but they do deserve some credit.

For the record, I am biased since Boise is my home town. I grew up with season tickets watching them lose every week back when they sucked ass. All the fair-weather fans and merchandising that has come out of the woodwork in Boise the last few years drives me insane.

YEah, I know they have the biggest stadium, but I think the next biggest is around that. They get a lot of credit from me. They've shown they can hold their own in bowl games and these early season games against bigger teams. I call it one-off when a team might only have one or 2 big games a year + a bowl game wheras major BCS teams play large games week in week out. They dont get off-weeks.

I have a ton of respect for boise, I just dont put them in the top-5 category of current programs. They are 6-10 for sure.

It'll take them moving into a big-boy conference and playing more than one or two decent teams a year, then jumping up and down and saying, "We deserve a title shot!"

Look at their schedule and tell me you HONESTLY believe that they deserve to be in the title game (or a BCS game at all, really). Look at Alabama's schedule from 2010 or 2009 and tell me how you think they would have done.

This is my point... At BEST, they are a team that might hold their own (middle of the SEC or Big 12, etc) and I doubt they would EVER get into a BCS game playing in a real conference.

If people want to hold them out as a team who would be competitive and entertaining in a big conference, I'm fine with that. What I can't stand is the people who think they deserve to be in the hunt for the national championship b/c they beat one or two somewhat decent teams a year, then have a good showing when they have a month off to prepare for the bowl.

Wait for the season to start... and for Nov 5 to roll around...

Here's something we won't agree on... Danny Sheridan was on Finebaum yesterday saying that y'all have the best team in the SEC, at least on paper. I say boo to that! The Tide's gonna roll that ass!
