per some sources i have in iptay...the football team cheered in the cafeteria when it was announced that TB was fired

Dabo Swinney (interim head coach) was given the option to keep or fire Rob Spence and the first official act as head coach...gave spence the boot!

2 prominent players on the team came out publicly about the firing

Apparently, several prominent members of the team say the release is justified. Quarterback Cullen Harper, who Bowden announced last Friday would no longer be the starter, had harsh words for his former coach.
"It's what he deserved," Harper told ESPN Monday. "Dabo Swinney is a fine man and will do an excellent job."
Harper said Bowden had lost the ability to motivate players, and Harper said he was upset about some of the comments Bowden had made about him in the media.
Running back C.J. Spiller told ESPN that "in the end, he was yelling at us to be leaders and it wasn't working."
Spiller said he did enjoy playing for Bowden.



it makes me wonder if the players threw the season to get rid of bowden and spence...



but i think it says a lot about where the HC stands when things like that are said
