Here's my Kayak and I borrowed the other one for my wife until i can pick up a new one this weekend. We float Buffalo 5-6 times a year so decided to float a differnet stretch of Buffalo that nobody else floats. Great trip but i wasn't prepared for all of the logjams in the creek....turned a 5 mile float into a 8 hr expedition. had a great time though

Maybe I missed it, but has anyone done any mods to their kayaks? I have 2 Old Town Dirigo 120's and I think it'll be cool to add some stuff.

I added drain plugs and anchor mounts to mine. The mounts are great and I bolted them down from the inside of the kayak. I have mounted my anchor to those before.

I have some giant "J" hooks I mounted to the wall. I got them thru Amazon.com, but I've seen them at Academy Sports.
I just took down a shelf and fit the kayak in there. My garage is so damn small I barely have room for my stuff.

Really liking the new design of these boats. I have 2 of the older versions. No locking hinged hatch up front & between your legs, rear carrying handle in better position, looks like new seat is improved and no webbed areas under where your thighs are (storage?). Does appear it lost a hatch between the seatback and rear cargo area.

If you get the chance, you might want to check out Destin while your down there. There's a sand bar near the bridge that sometimes ends up being a anchor-and-party area. When I went kayaking over in that area last summer, there were bands playing music on barges and also there were vendors selling food on barges. We paddled around a little while then came and hung out with the other boaters/kayakers. If your interested...

nice!!! I was planning on hitting that area up. I know there is going to be Aquapalooza while I am there right off P.C. Beach. Thousands of boats are supposed to be there. Should be pretty interesting!

edit: just checked and there is supposed to be another Aquapalooza right when I pass through on my way to Jacksonville in Destin. SWEET!

Went kayaking out on Lake Mead yesterday. It was great. There was a wind blowing that made it a bit difficult but it also made for some great little waves to go through. Excellent day!

I've recently bought an '04 TRD off road DC with a cap and I'm scrathing my chin how to transport my beloved paddle and row craft....Cap is level with the roof trukcs roof and I have a couple of Yakima cross bars on the cap. Trouble is some of my boats have some rocker and that long flat roof (cab plus cap) doesn't allow for the bow/stern to hang down.....My boats = a couple of 12' Vermont pack boats, a 15' Adirondack guideboat, a royalex Mad River Freedom, some SUPS, an old town 17 foot royalex barge, a bunch of bugs and an old tennis shoe.....

What sort of racking do you propose???? I also have a 2" reciever "T" thang that I can use but with the cap on I'd like to be a ble to rack a couple of boats...I need some extra tall towers or something.....
