    I don't agree that a suspension length should be effected by the severity of injury

    For instance , player A takes a 2 handed Phil Kessel style slash at an opponent , the opponet is unharmed

    Player B takes the exact same 2 handed Kessel style lumberjack swing at an opponent , the opponent suffers broken bones

    Is Player A's actions less severe than Player B's actions ?

    I certainly don't disagree in principle. However, if a player suffers a very serious injury I am not so sure it shouldn't be considered relevant.
