I think that would just prove that there is no consistency in the NHL suspensions , in order for Shanny to even appear neutral he first has to remove the offending player's reputation from the process , then just the act / hit on it's own merit , then consider any previous suspensions

If you look at the hit in isolation , it's the same hit many other players have thrown and been suspended for , first timers get 3-5 games , it should be no different this time otherwise it just confirms that the disciplinary system in the NHL is a joke

 

I rarely agree with Milbury, but I agree with him this time. I wish the Sabres would fire Rolston and GM Regier. I have very little faith in Regier to be able to rebuild the Sabres.

Scott will get at least 5 games because he already will be having an in person hearing.

 

I agree, and suspect he will get 5 games. The disciplinary system is too lenient, 5 games clearly isn't enough because the incident rate isn't dropping off.
