You guys don't get the tv show " The Road to the Winter Classic " ?

The winter classic is losing it's uniqueness. It was fun when there was one or two games a year played outside, but now it's getting ridiculous.

Quebec City isn't a viable market IMHO. I've visited there many times and the city is basically a small sized government town, which is not a great fit for a major sports franchise long term. Plus Montreal has done a great job of becoming "The French Team" and I don't know if you'd get all the fans back if you setup the Nordiques again.

Lastly, I'm not thrilled my tax dollars are building that arena, and will likely be used to bring in a team and support them....

 

Yeah, I get that. It's just sad. We get these messages from Oilers Management that, "they're looking into it"......or, "we're examining the issues." But it's just a big joke. 29 other teams in the league - even the other shitty teams - are just laughing at us!!

Fuck'n hockey.....blah!! At least I can watch the World Juniors for a little bit here.

Yeah. I know all about this. I follow that page on FB. It's a 'feel-good vent' from fans. But it'll do absolutely nothing.

Will be going into enemy territory on New Years as I got six tickets for the Ducks/Sharks game.

Have family from out of town here and the only possible games are Sharks and Predators vs Kings but there is no hope of getting 6 tix together and even scattered seats in the nose bleed area would top 600/700 so ....

Will just take the kids to Staples newly enlarged Kings shop for some gear, show them around on way to Hollywood stuff to do and enjoy watching LA play on big screen TV at home.

It's going to be 80's night at the pond so that should be fun, have to break out the Gretz and McSor old school shirts/jerseys for the game.

That's one drawback of being current SC champs .. price and availability.

Got 6 tix with soda/hotdog all together for under 200 in Anaheim.

 

I still can't believe how much cheaper tickets are in the USA for Hockey games. Every time I go to a US NHL market I try to score some tickets and usually end up with high quality seats for around $40-80 a person. I can't even buy beer at the Saddledome for that. Supply and Demand economics suck for Canadian Hockey fans...
