The Bet

Here's the deal. One of my current roommates is a friend that I've known for years. We've made so many silly bets over the years, I don't even know where to begin. The ones that really get me is how he picks winning football teams. He knows nothing about football but his logic for choosing a winner is simple, lame and quite successful:

1) Team colors
2) Mascot

*Examples*

• Pittsburgh Steelers > San Francisco 49ers: Black and yellow are awesome colors. I like red but I hate gold so black and yellow win.
• Atalanta Falcons > any other team: Black and red is the best color combination in the league.
• New York Jet's > Houston Texans: Both colors suck but a jet flies over a bull so the jet wins.

You get the idea. In all honesty, I want to punch him in the face over his win ratio, cause he actually wins quite often ... However, in my drunken brilliance last night, I came up with a GREAT idea. Let's test this theory out for every game during the regular season. Spent sometime in excel this morning and the bet is on. We're only looking at $100 but my bragging rights will hopefully shut him up forever.

Atlanta at Chicago Atlanta Atlanta has Best colors
Cincinnati at Cleveland Bangels beat the browns cause both colors suck and a tiger beats no mascot
Buffalo at Kansas City Although white / red beats blue / red, a chief hunts down the buffalo so chiefs win.
Philadelphia at St. Louis Eagles and Rams I don't like either color but if I have to pick I will pick the eagles (It shits on a ram as it flys over head)
Detroit at Tampa Bay Detroit lions, cause it's a lion and it's detroit
Tennessee at Jacksonville Tenesse and jackson I don't like either.. but I will take the Titans
Pittsburgh at Baltimore Black and Yellow
Indianapolis at Houston Houston, cause a buffalo gores a horse
NY Giants at Washington Washington beats NY cause it's a Chief
Seattle at San Francisco A Seahawk flies over a 49er
Minnesota at San Diego Doesn't like blue / gold and the viking is way cooler
Carolina at Arizona Cardinal colors are dope and the icon is way cool so Arizona
Dallas at NY Jets (Flys over a cowboy and crashes into him)
New England at Miami The dolphin icon sucks and the colors are too
Oakland at Denver I hate Oakland cause I grew in the bay area
