What Kind of RV, Travel Trailer, or Camper do you have

I recently purchased a new Travel Trailer that I tow with my Tacoma. It is a Starcraft AR ONE RB14. It weighs in at 2300lbs dry weight. It comes pretty loaded with full tub bath, 3 way fridge, ac, heater, stereo, lots of windows, awning. It sleeps 2-3 people which is good enough for my wife and I. oh, also my dog.

I put a hitch equalizer on it and a brake controller on my truck for it as well. It tows pretty nicely but the 1st gen tacoma is a bit under powered for hills. We have used it a half dozen times since we got it and really like it. I just got a 15 inch DVD/HD tv for it. I had it raised 3 inches with an axle reversal (under spring) to help with some clearand since it sat a bit low. I was worried about the plumber under the trailer getting torn off.

So if you want to show off your rigs and tell us a bit about it that would be cool.

Starcraft trailer

It tows pretty well on flat ground. Going up steep hills not so good, but it is doable. I only have a 2002 dcab v6. I would think the newer models would pull it better.

We like the trailer though. Going camping this week for a couple days and doing some fishin as well.

Good wheelin!

I usually rent a casita, plan on buying one... But they are a little steep....

Funny that you lifted yours... I was flying down a dirt road... And we'll I thought I had ran over something... I think some rock flew up and cracked the grey water drain, took off about 3 feet of pipe... Spent two hours looking for it... Managed to find grey water hose hook up cap at an rv store.. Fixed it before I returned it... But a camper that sat skittle higher would of been nice

I don't have a travel trailer but do have a park model trailer that stays on the bay in Delaware.

'84 Prowler. Much of it has been upgraded. My grandpa had it before me and cannot leave anything alone. Its nice, but heavy. Too heavy for the taco. Thats really the only reason I have my powerstroke, well, that and the boat isn't light either.

I had (just sold last summer) a 2004 Forest River Sandpiper 301BHD. I towed with a 2003 GMC Crew Cab HD and it was at my limits. We loved the camping lifestyle but I was layed off and missed 10 months so shiy had to go. I got picked up and bought the tacoma life is good

You can tell its back there for sure. But over all the truck handles it well. Be sure to get the weight distribution hitch and a good brake controller. And the sway bar is your best friend.
And don't even think about looking at the MPG while towing.
