Just figured I would get everyones take on Brock retiring after the loss to Overeem. He said if he had won that his last fight would have been with Dos Santos. Rumor's going around that he is returning to the WWE.

BOUT DAMN TIME!!!!! IMO he never should have had the first title opportunity, he floated by on his name and was always given special attention/consideration. Im glad to see him leave!

I honestly thought he was a decent fighter, but looking back, he sucks and all he had was size on his opponents. Once someone got in the octogon, that had some technique, Brock never stood a chance.

He never should of been allowed to be in the UFC in the first place. After his "WWE little fit" when he dissed his own sponsor's, they should of ditched his ass.

I actually like Lesnar a lot and respect him for what he has done. His name did a good bit for the UFC and he worked his butt off to come back but I would rather see him wrestling than fighting. His personality is better suited for pro wrestling rather than the world of MMA.

i suspect he's serious about retiring. after wrestling, mma and the recurring issues with diverticulitis, i suspect his body is too weakened to seriously compete. he should have money saved. sure he was a side-show type of character but the man had talent, particularly wrestling. just ask former champ and still top heavyweight frank mir, after their 2nd bout:rolleyes:

No doubt the guy is talented....he's a genetic freak. I hope all goes well for him. He seems like a smart guy who saved his money....he's set for life but I hope he returns to wrestling...which I am a huge fan of. (yeah yeah....I know it's fake)

Say what you will about lesnar, but he only fought top talent. Mir, Coture, Carwin, Velasquez... He had no easy fights. All that while fighting diverticulitis! Dana literally threw him to the wolves. He was fun to watch, I was bummed to see him retire.

He probably figured he should take it easy now that his liver has been turn to dust by Overeem

    ^ Lol

I don't see JDS defeating Overeem either. Only people I think stand a chance is Mir or Velasquez. I know Velasquez just got K.O.'d, but I still think he's a top heavyweight. I mean, everybody gets caught.

Lesnar didn't attend the post fight press conference because he thinks he got a rib or two broken. He didn't know if it was from the kick or the knees, but both were just brutal!

I wouldn't exactly say he floated on his name entirely. He's had some pretty significant wins in the UFC. I just don't think his heart is in it though.

I'm not a fan of Lesnar, but give credit where credit is due. He got dropped by a 256lb leg kick to the liver. No one will survive that shot unblocked.

Overeem via Mule kick. Never really was impressed by Lesnar's performance........... He beat Heath Herring (that is 2-3 in the UFC), Randy Courture (which fought at 205) Frank Mir (which was A lot smaller than he is compared to now) and Shane Carwin that got gassed from A adrenaline dump. Overeem FTW, had A great UFC debut and retired Lesnar all in one night. Now he will have to go against JDS. I will def be getting that PPV.

He was over-hyped by Dana from the get go. Sure he had some quality wins but seeing him go is no huge loss in my book.
