went a brutal (but beautiful :D) 23 mile run today, 7.5 hours, 7500' of elevation (bagged two peaks in the Elkhorn Mtns) w/ about 7 of those miles off trail, will be sore tomorrow for sure :)

Wow- that looks like a dandy! Probably out of my league, but I really like the concept of multi-day races :)

it's an Osprey Rev 12, I also have a Rev 1.5 for shorter stuff- nice little packs, carry well and everything is handy to access. Their new bladders are really slick, their is a quick disconnect so you can keep the hose and bite valve in place while removing the bladder only to refill- very handy during races.

the 12 liter is pretty roomy, enough so I can get all this stuff in w/o any problem

    unpacked

I love to run, started really running on my 40th birthday, prior to that my only running was scraping by the Air Force PT test 1.5 mile run. Took about a year to get fully hooked and now at 46, I don't know if I could live without running.

I love to run all distances, this year I ran everything from my AF PT test up to a 50k trail race (wont ever go that distance again). Along the way I managed to set a PR in every single distance I have done. The two big ones for me this year were running my PT test in 8:53, with the first mile being a 5:53 and my first sub 4 hour marathon in 3:34:13. Still improving but I don't know for how long I can keep up the speed improvements as I get older? Next year I have 4 huge goals, finish my 2nd Ironman (finished my first last year), knock that mile down to under 5:50, go sub 3:30 for a marathon and sub 1:30 for a half marathon (hit 1:31 this year). I run all year around outside, rain, snow, wind, etc as I can't stand being inside on a treadmill, or even indoor track.

Thanks, it's been a heck of a journey that I hope to continue for a very long time. I am very fortunate to live in an amazing area for runners of all types with a huge running community to be involved with.

I will be in the Seattle area next week for some Cisco training, hoping to get some running in while there but I will be stuck in the city, so doubt it will be good. I feel pretty confident in saying that Spokane, and the surrounding area, has trail and paved running that rivals almost anywhere you can name.

I have a login, haven't put anything on there since 2013 though. I just come home and my Garmin 910xt auto uploads to Garmin Connect where I track everything. Guessing there isn't an auto upload feature but I might be game to do it for the fun of it.

no gps here (the one I want is $500!!!) I map routes drawing them in on an online mapping/running app- it's time consuming, but pretty accurate (checked against my buddy's gps routes)

my latest adventure- a run, fish, freeze and run 19 miles round trip and several thousand feet of gain

Destination was Rock Lake in the Crazy Mountains; I knew I would see some snow, wasn't prepared for a foot of snow at the lake- the wind was howling at 40-ish mph, the snow stinging my face
I figured I made it that far I was going to at least get a couple of casts in, nearly froze my fingers off getting my pack rod put together and tying a lure on. First cast the wind was blowing so hard couldn't even see where my lure landed, retrieved it back in w/ no luck. Second cast I had a general idea where I cast, retrieved it back (trying to take out the slack the wind was creating) and as it neared shore, it stopped. Damn I'm hung up and then my rod tip dipped and again, this time taking drag out like crazy :D Took me awhile but landed a slab 16-17" cutthroat, took a quick pic, threw him back in the lake and got the hell out of there!
