I ran a beer mile today. Way harder than expected, my actual mile was bout a 6:30 on the track but the beer drinking part of it had me finish in 11:09. I have no idea how the record is a 4:57 mile doing this.

Too cold, both the beer and the temps outside. The winner did 7 flat. It was a lot of fun, really good group of people having good clean fun!

Only one person puked. Lot's didn't even finish!

Anyone else noticed on Strava that it's not registering segments? I run the same route every Sunday and hit a segment on the way back, and it's only ever registered it one time!

Ok, so it's not just me at least. I am also trying to figure it out still and I have been on it for a year or more, just not active.

I think anyone can change them. I had a KOM for cycling on a hill climb near my house. I knocked a friend out of first on it. He was pissed. He said he shorten the segment and then he was first. Btw he is a far better rider than I.

Also some times if you dont hit the right start point it wont capture it.

When looking at the segment change it from "map" view to Sat. you can zoom in better and find the start point.

I've already broke out the running snowshoes- a little early for my liking, running in snow is like running in sand-except it's cold :D

I bet you will be happy to be home! If you enjoy it, you will likely keep it up, at least I would think that way?

I like regular snowshoes and didn't even know they made ones for running. I just run in the snow in my trail running shoes, no cleats or any of that other stuff. Might have to look into renting a pair to try out for the fun of it, I am always up for something new.

I run in the snow until it gets to about 6" or so, then it's easier on shoes- the running ones are small/narrow and you can actually run in them-albeit not overly fast

often if I hit the same trails a couple of times w/ my snowshoes, I can pack the trail down enough I can go back to running shoes

My favorite time of year to run is when it's cold, and snowy! Luckily there are always areas to run around here no matter how much snowfall. It's snowing right now, not hard though, I am looking forward to a run in a few hours.
